A Scout is REVERENT, he has a deep respect for service to others and for the service others have provided to him.
Reverence (/ˈrɛvərəns/) is “a feeling or attitude of deep respect tinged with awe; veneration”.
On May 28th, we have an opportunity to show our reverence to service men and women who have sacrificed in many ways to preserve our freedoms. Holy Cross Cemetery is located in Pataskala, OH and they have requested our assistance in the placement of American Flags on the graves of military personnel interred in the cemetery. This is an opportunity for our Scouts to provide a great service to our community and to honor and revere the lives of those who have come before us and their service to our country.
We are asking that you consider volunteering for up to 3 hours on Saturday, May 28, 2016 between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM to help us honor our service men and women. If you can only volunteer for an hour, we will take the hour. This is a volunteer service that is very important to our community and is an important part of living the Scout Laws to be Reverent. Thank you for your volunteerism and for participating in Cub Scout Pack 603 this year!
